Stunning Diamond Glass

An imposing glass tower of sound, the Niagara stands 3 feet, 11 inches in stunning 3/4-inch thick diamond glass. Different in color from regular glass, diamond glass is an expensive, luxurious material. It’s treated at a much higher temperature than ordinary glass, giving it extra light capturing qualities and greater transparency--a transparency that makes it look like the drivers are floating on air. When you sit down, relax and take in the sheer celebration of music that these evocative glass towers can achieve, you will clearly know it doesn’t get any better.

Custom Made Drivers

It’s the drivers that will make you feel like you’re floating on air. Two custom designed and built Atohm drivers are located at the front of the speaker. The bottom panel houses an Atohm ultra-low-frequency passive bass driver in a down firing position to extend bass frequencies.

Unique Glass Horn Tweeter

The striking engineered glass horn tweeter goes through more than ten hours of intense machining and hand finishing and has its own detailed crossover for a luminous and expressive sound. It gives the speaker an open, detailed, natural and totally refined high mid-range. This component is so precious that it is packed separately from the main chamber to ensure the ultimate security.

Acoustic Damping Tube Muffles Vibration

Glass is highly dense, preventing the problematic case vibration that occurs with other speaker enclosure materials. However, it is also highly reflective, magnifying the energy generated by drivers. Rather than using damping materials inside the enclosure--and defeating the esthetic purpose of glass speakers--Waterfall Audio developed patented Acoustic Damping Tube (ADT) technology to muffle the energy right from the back of the driver.

Clean, clutter-free design from top to bottom
The ADT is the fundamental element that enables drivers to function properly in the Niagara EVO’s non-damped glass enclosure. Located at the rear of the mid-bass driver, the ADT limits the return of the back wave on the cone. Its integrated damping chamber provides damping control of medium-high frequencies, resulting in superior audio reproduction. The ADT also provides hydraulic damping in the low frequencies to help control excessive movement of the cone, reducing distortion while increasing the speaker’s mechanical power handling abilities. Finally, mechanical uncoupling of the mid-bass driver and the glass enclosure supports audio integrity and prevents mid-range coloration. The ADT delivers quick, crisp bass and exceptionally accurate mid-range reproduction.

All Waterfall Audio crossovers and filters are equipped with the finest components, such as air coil and polypropylene capacitors. The Niagara EVO also utilizes Acculinear circuit technology in the tweeter crossover, which provides exceptionally smooth and detailed high frequencies.

High-quality, hand-stitched Nappa leather houses the Niagara’s base. Noted for its smooth grain, softness and durability, Nappa leather is typically used for high end applications such as designer luggage and luxury car interiors.
